Our client is seeking to appoint an experienced Digital Analytics Specialist to take on the design and maintenance of their strategic digital analytics framework. This role is a great opportunity for someone to play a pivotal role in rolling out digital capability. You will be fundamentally responsible for monitoring, measuring and analysing the performance of digital strategies and campaigns, developing insights and driving technical improvements to enhance performance.
The initial focus of this role will be to work alongside external consultants focused on the implementation of the digital analytics framework - you will play a key role in leading this implementation and ensuring there is an increase in internal IP whilst advising how best to go about this implementation. You will therefore have strong skills in understanding and eliciting business problems to understand how best to roll out the overall strategy and digital blueprint.
Beyond the successful implementation, the role will focus on building reporting and insights capability across the business to better understand the customer journey and optimise traffic and conversion and improve customer experience.
Required skills and knowledge
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Digital Analyst role (Agency or Client side)
- Strong digital experience across all digital channels including web, mobile, email, video and social media
- Solid understanding of digital marketing solutions and channels, the production process and the technologies that underpin these solutions
- Thorough understanding of online metrics and knowledge of various digital marketing & analytics technologies ; experience of working with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager are essential . Additional skills in SQL preferred
- Experience with digital campaign metrics and knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation
- Advanced knowledge of best practice SEO techniques and the user journey
- Strong understanding of customer segmentation and demonstrated content targeting (personalisation) experience
- Excellent understanding of business requirements and importance of analytics
- Strong negotiation skills
