Canterbury’s marketing department are looking for a professional Membership Coordinator to join their supportive and fun team on a casual or part time basis. This position will be a job share role over two consecutive business days (Thursday and Friday) with an average of 16 hours per week.

The Role

As a Membership Coordinator, you will be required to manage the Club’s membership program by identifying and registering new members, developing and establishing relationships and promoting Club membership with the aim of increasing the number of prospective members.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the membership application process, including the provision and prompt follow-up on all prospective and new member communications.
  • Preparing monthly reports and coordinating the membership renewal program.
  • Coordinating member birthday promotions and organising membership correspondence.
  • Processing payments and ensuring all new member applications have been processed accurately.
  • Maintaining collateral material for club memberships including membership forms, member cards and welcome packs.
  • Assisting with all membership enquiries.
  • Maintaining and updating membership information.
  • Training new and existing reception staff on membership joining and renewal processes.

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar administrative role - club industry experience is desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Exceptional grooming and presentation.
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft Suite.
  • Availability to work on Thursdays and Fridays during normal business hours.
  • Current NSW RSA & RCG Competency Card (essential).
  • Full working rights.
