The Company
The company is a privately-owned Australasian machinery and plant hire company which has won a major contract in Wellington.
They have constructed hundreds of thousands of cubic metres of heavy duty concrete pavements, asphalt pavements, car parks and roads as well as upgrading substantial parts of airport infrastructure and services.
Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work long term on one of New Zealand big infrastructure projects in Wellington.
We’re seeking an experienced Final Trim Grader Operator/Scraper Operator able to operate a CAT 14H, with either Topcon or Trimble GPS/ATS.
You will be working alongside the main contractor and gain more experience with advanced technology.
Ideally we are seeking New Zealand based candidates that are looking to gain more experience with GPS and move into the modern world of grader and scraper machines.
This role will suit a reliable person who is self-motivated, has good time management skills and able who is work unsupervised but as part of a coordinated team.
The Person We’re Looking For:-
- Is fully knowledgeable and compliant with health and safety requirements
- Works well as part of a tightly co-ordinated team
- Is comfortable using a modern technology - App for time sheets
- Has a flexible attitude - Adaptable to work conditions
Certificates and Experience Required
- At least 3 years’ experience with Grader and Scraper machines
- Must have used GPS for more than 50 hours
- CAT 14H, with either Topcon or Trimble GPS/ATS
- Must currently be fully licensed - all relevant licences
- Current Site Safe Certified
