About the business and the role

Farrell Construction is a Christchurch based Construction company that carries out Commercial, Residential, Rural, New Builds, Repairs, Renovations & Project Management works.

Job tasks and responsibilities

We are currently on the hunt for an experienced and qualified Quantity Surveyor.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating and presenting pricing, rates and estimations of assigned projects.
• Provide and present comprehensive financial and quantity surveying related information.
• Detailed understanding on Carpentry & Concrete/Foundation Elements
• Provide Labour allowance reports.
• Assist the managers by providing statistical information.
• Measure works for payment and accounting purposes.
• Prepare and submit valuations and final accounts.
• Identify variations and changes from the priced documents and valuing for extras to contracts.
• Records all relevant events for delay, loss and expense claims.
• Ensures the company receives their full contractual entitlements.

Skills and experience

Your qualifications and experience should include:

• Minimum National Diploma in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in the Christchurch Construction sector.
• Experience in both Residential and Commercial works.
• Hold a current Work Visa.
