Client Details
Our client an International Financial Services company is seeking a junior lawyer to join their group legal team in Sydney. This opportunity has arisen due to growth and will be supporting the lead legal counsel in assisting the business. Joining a small legal team this will be a varied role working across commercial matters, trading documentation, broker, technology agreements and company secretarial matters.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and providing advice on trading documentation, broker agreements and outsourcing agreements
- Collating corporate information required for financial services licences and corporate registry services
- Identify issues, legal risks and potential liability
- Keeping the business abreast of regulatory changes
- Assisting with company secretarial matters including preparing board resolutions and registration of company trading names.
Profile
Key Requirements:
- Ideally a minimum 3 years PQE gained in-house or with a leading law firm.
- Strong financial markets experience.
- Foreign exchange or equities experience would be viewed favourably
- Excellent commercial and communication skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
