Our client is one of the worlds largest international firms with a very strong insolvency and dispute resolution offering in Australia.

Insolvency & Restructuring team

The insolvency team has expertise across insolvency disputes, restructuring, cross-border insolvency and distressed debt & special situations and their clients include some of Australia's largest financial institutions and insolvency firms.

Position description

They are currently looking for up to two insolvency litigation lawyers as a result of recent growth to work across three highly regarded partners. This role will see you handling the full spectrum of insolvency related litigation including:

• protecting the position of secured lenders in an insolvency context;
• recovering assets for creditors in bankruptcy proceedings;
• winding up proceedings;
• unsecured recoveries;
• setting aside statutory demands;
• creditor's rights and obligations; and
• voluntary administrations, receiverships and liquidation.

Requirements

You will have between 2-5 years solid insolvency experience from a reputable practice. You must have exposure to complex insolvency and associate corporate and commercial litigation for either financial institutions or insolvency firms. 

Our client will consider broad Dispute Resolution solicitors looking to specialise further in the insolvency space.

You will be capable of working in a team and have the ability and confidence to take ownership of smaller, less complex matters.
