The Role;

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Account Lead to join our organisation at a very exciting time and take on a challenging role which directly impacts revenue, business relationships and productivity.

Reporting to the Manager Operations, this role is responsible for building strong relationships with client operational contacts and managing the operational performance of a team with multiple client portfolios which includes our growing Purchased Debt Ledger to meet and exceed revenue targets and Client Service Level Agreements. 

 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Develop a high performing and high quality environment, with clear communication of team and company expectations and targets.
  • Build and maintain operational business relationships with clients to ensure we are always efficiently and effectively managing the account.
  • Participate in the development of operational and tactical plans and campaigns for the client portfolio.
  • Prepare for and attend client performance meetings and client audits and ensure the timely delivery of all reports to clients on performance to SLA’s by due dates and any ad hoc reporting.
  • Be the first point of contact for the client, ensuring day to day interactions are managed effectively and respond to client enquiries within the agreed timeframe.
  • Ensure there is an effective operating model within the team to deliver on client and business outcomes, including assessment of resources and capabilities required
  • Ensure procedural changes requested by the client are documented and communicated to the team.
  • Be an advocate and champion of change initiatives introduced within the team, unit and/or organisation and support the decisions made by management.
  • Manage relationships with all support business units to ensure effective communication and cooperation exists at all times

 

About you;

You will be a proven leader with a deep knowledge of collections, strong commercial acumen, strategic management skills and knowledge of litigation in managing and monitoring the workflow of the team.

To be successful in this role, you will have;

  • 2-4 years’ experience in leadership with a focus on collections and contact centre workflow
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills, including the ability to build trusted partner relationships with client operational contacts
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and report writing skills
  • Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to gain acceptance of ideas and/or courses of action
  • Creative and lateral thinker, able to think ‘outside the box’ and bring new thinking to identified problems
  • Able to create a shared vision and overarching goals for the team and develop a plan to connect individuals to these goals
  • Inspirational and able to balance a genuine passion for people with a business focus
  • Desire for self-improvement and acknowledges where there is room for growth
  • Seen in the business as a role model for demonstrating and living the values and behaviours

Desired but not essential;

  • Knowledge with Purchased Debt Ledger
  • Experience liaising with off shore operations teams
