The Business

My Client offer's Accounting and Financial Planning. You would be joining the Financial Planning team, which will make it a team of 8. Established in the early 90's, they are one of the largest boutique financial planning practices in Australia. They are 100% Australian owned and operated. They are not owned by any bank, fund manager or other financial institution.

The role 

As a financial planning assistant within this thriving business you will quickly become an integral part of the organisation working closely with the principal adviser and other support staff. Your day to day duties will be varied which will give you exposure to multiple parts of the business allowing you to expand your knowledge and grow your experience. 

As a Financial Planning Assistant you will:

• Supporting the Principal Financial Planner with his diary management and organising daily, weekly and monthly tasks, being good at forward planning is essential
• Assisting in communicating with clients regarding the progress of their applications
• Liaising with clients and third parties on behalf on financial planners regarding superannuation rollovers, investment funds transfers etc
• Talk with clients, insurers and other third parties e.g. medical on behalf on financial planners to follow up insurance  requirements
• Updating and keeping clients informed on behalf of the financial planner on the status of their portfolios in a timely manner
• Assisting with the preparation of client files for statement of advice presentations
• Helping with the preparation of insurance/pension/super/investment applications for the client

What you will need to be a successful Financial Planning Assistant in this role:

• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar role 
• Preferable RG146 compliant but not a must
• Excellent Attention to detail 
• Be friendly, warm and welcoming
