The Organisation
Our client is one of the most iconic foreign banks in Australia who provides cross-border corporate banking, treasury services and trade finance solutions to multinational enterprises and intermediaries.
The Accountabilities
- Maintain the Bank’s Compliance & Monitoring Program
- Ensure the Bank’s Compliance Framework, Policy and RCSA procedures are adequate and up-to-date
- Closely support the Head of Compliance in rolling out new projects and initiatives
- Identify Key Risk Indicators and manage Key Control Areas
- Assist with the formulation and deployment of compliance strategy
- Communicate and implement regulatory updates
- Design and conduct ongoing compliance training to all business units
- Timely Head Office & Management Reporting
The Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in a regulatory compliance function in Australian Banking or Financial Services
- Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements (AUSTRAC, APRA, ASIC etc.), and their implications on foreign banks (ADI's)
- Operational experience of risk identification / monitoring / assessment, compliance advisory, policy review etc.
- Excellent problem solving skills with an analytical mind
- Demonstrated autonomy - ability to prioritise work with minimum supervision
- Good team player - excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills
