A new, dynamic role has arisen for a Legacy Giving Coordinator to join our Advancement Division to support our legacy giving programme. This role is broad and varied and will support all legacy activity to recruit and steward alumni and friends to inspire them to include a gift in their will to Imperial College London.
Imperial College London is a science-based university with an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research. Consistently rated amongst the world's best universities, Imperial is committed to developing the next generation of researchers, scientists and academics through collaboration across disciplines.
The Advancement Division was newly established in April 2015 bringing together Fundraising, Events and the Alumni Office. Advancement raises funds for scholarships, academic positions, research centres and capital projects, securing private financial support from those who are committed to our academic mission and building Imperial’s global reputation. The Division oversees a wide programme of events that seek to expand the College’s reach, strengthen and enlarge our supporter base, increase philanthropic support and engage alumni, friends and other stakeholders in the life of the College. This is a high impact and high visibility division which relies on extremely motivated and skilled fundraising professionals to deliver a quality end to end gift giving experience.
Applicants will have excellent communication skills with proven experience in building relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. This role will involve face to face contact with donors and alumni and will provide support for the legacy direct mail and event programme. Prior experience in a fundraising or legacy fundraising role is desirable.
For the right candidate, this role is an excellent opportunity to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders with exposure to other areas such as Regular Giving and Major Gift fundraising.
As well as offering a competitive salary, Imperial provides a package of attractive terms and conditions of service, along with many optional benefits, which we hope you will take advantage of. The College’s standard holiday entitlement is 25 days (pro rata for part-time staff). In addition to the standard public and bank holidays, College closes for extra days around Christmas and Easter.
