Detail information about job Research Associate/Fellow in Chemistry - Catalytic C-S Bond Formation (fixed-term). Terms and conditions vacancy

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work with Dr Liam Ball on the development and mechanistic interrogation of new catalytic reactions for C-S bond formation. Emphasis will be placed on delivery of ‘process-ready’ methods that are general, robust, and scalable.

The successful candidate will hold, or will have submitted a thesis for, a PhD in organic chemistry prior to taking the appointment. Experience in homogeneous catalysis is highly desirable, and experience in experimental mechanistic studies would be beneficial, but is not essential.

The post is available from 1st October, 2017, and will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months.
