Location: Wrexham
The Finance Team provides all of the financial support to the University encompassing the Budgeting, Monitoring and Reporting of all financial information. Alongside the transactional services of Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Reporting to the Head of Accounting, this new role has been created to support the delivery of the Finance Strategy through the process of annual statutory reporting, asset management, cashflow planning and regular statistical reporting within tight timeframes.
We are looking for a candidate with strong technical focus and proven ability to build productive relationships at all levels as the role involves providing technical advice, guidance and support on all financial accounting matters both within and outside the Finance Department as well as liaising with external bodies on financial performance matters.
The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of financial accounting processes and procedures with the ability to consider the wider impact of financial reporting decisions across a range of stakeholders.
Previous working experience of accounting software packages and Microsoft Excel is a requirement of the post.
