The RoleWe're looking for a Project Manager who enjoys working in a highly collaborative team to deliver projects that are part of an extensive programme of change taking place at the University. The team are widely recognised across the organisation for their project management and business analysis expertise, which provides a great foundation for projects we undertake in the future. We are looking for someone who enjoys this kind of environment and can make a big contribution to the continued success of the team’s work.
To be successful the team must work with business areas across the University to make big changes to our systems and improve the way data is accessed and used. This position has been created through new investment in the team, allowing us to increase the pace at which these changes can be made. You will work with our development teams (which are also expanding) creating project teams that can develop the systems and data management platforms that will underpin all aspects of the University’s operations.
Key requirements:
- Extensive project manager experience and ability to deal with all aspects of the project life-cycle on a wide variety of IT projects.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualifications.
- A strong technical knowledge.
- Recognised qualification in project management (preferred).
- Successfully team management including people from many different departments.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
The salary will be within the range of £38,832-£47,722 per year on an open contract. This is a full time position (37 hours a week) and is available immediately. A flexi-time scheme operates which allows for flexible working within operational guidelines.
