The Sainsbury Laboratory is recruiting a Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory Technician.
Reporting to the Tissue Culture Manager the main purpose of this post is to take on the day to day running of Arabidopsis thaliana transformation programme and to be involved with other diverse plant transformation projects within the team.

The post would suit a candidate with the required skills who is looking for a varied support role in a top research laboratory. Occasional heavy lifting will be required.
The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of a small team to carry out the above duties. A BSc(2(i) in biological sciences with emphasis on plant science is essential. Candidates must have at least 2 years’ work experience in a plant science research laboratory.
Salary will be within the UEA Technical Staff Grade 5 pay scale at between £21,585 and £24,983 per annum. Appointment level will depend on qualifications, knowledge and skills.
