The salary will be paid at Grade 6: £33,518 - £35,550 per annum, plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance.
This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 1 year
The Post-Doctoral Researcher Associate will undertake laboratory based studies in two areas:
(1) Salivary gland dysfunction and regeneration on a newly developed injury model.
The salivary gland studies are an extension of a recently completed PhD thesis and the PDRA will be expected to undertake experiments, write and submit research papers and develop and write a grant application for further funding of the research area.
(2) Analyses of salivas collected from a human oral injury model.
A novel injury model has been developed as a consequence of routine surgical intervention as a part of clinical treatment of patients. The PDRA will analyse saliva samples using immunoassays in order to follow the progress of oral wound healing.
