Bucks New University is a new generation university offering courses which are professional, practice-based and industry-related. Opportunities have now arisen for skilled, motivated and experienced administrators to join Buckinghamshire New University as Registry Officers in the Academic Registry.
Two full-time posts are available, one focused on governance and quality assurance, and one focused on student and course administration. Please state in your supporting statement which job you are applying for.
As a Registry Officer you will take responsibility for planning and organising activities as part of the administrative team, ensuring adherence to University regulations, policies and procedures. You must be organised, have a good eye for detail, be flexible in delivering support, and confident in giving advice to students and academics. Working within the academic administrative structure, you must be able to prioritise workloads as appropriate, and be able to operate under pressure in a fast-moving and changing environment.
You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility individually, and as part of a team. You will also be able to demonstrate good IT skills along with the ability to manage your time.
A first degree or equivalent professional experience is essential. Experience of Higher Education administration would be an advantage, as would be a positive, proactive and flexible outlook.
