We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal, organisational and technical skills to contribute to our IT security improvement programme over a twelve-month period.
You will be working as part of the IT security operations function in testing and assessing the security of a range of University IT systems, and supporting service owners, system administrators and application developers to resolve and/or control identified security risks.
This exciting opportunity will involve exposure to a wide variety of IT systems and security testing tools, responding to incidents and providing technical assistance to customers.
You will be required to support and collaborate with a range of staff across the University, providing technical input as required. Therefore you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will need to co-ordinate your activities with other people, systems and data sources, working efficiently, accurately and confidently with a range of technologies.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience of working in a technical support role with an understanding of key IT security concepts wanting to focus their skills in the area of IT security. In return you will gain valuable experience of IT security activities and enterprise-level IT systems in a diverse University environment.
