Energy Futures Lab is the multi-disciplinary energy research institute at Imperial College London, acting as the focal point for the energy research community at Imperial. Working closely with the Energy Futures Lab directors, we are seeking a part-time Institute Manager who will share responsibility for developing strategy and ensuring that the Energy Futures Lab is successful in its mission to initiate and facilitate multi-disciplinary energy research and education programmes. The role requires a high level of engagement with the energy research community at Imperial in order to promote the Energy Futures Lab and to stimulate activity across engineering, science, policy, and business disciplines. The Corporate Partnerships team is responsible for managing relationships with collaborators and funders from industry, and the Institute Manager supports this work while leading engagement with public and philanthropic funders, and other partners from research, policy, and government. The Institute Manager is responsible for the development and management of the Energy Futures Lab budget, in addition to overseeing day-to-day operations. The Institute Manager also provides line management and development support for the operations team, and is responsible for ensuring that the Institute is appropriately resourced.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of the energy sector, with previous experience of working at a senior level. Leadership skills and the ability to develop strategy, build and maintain effective relationships, and manage a team are essential. A postgraduate qualification and experience of the university sector are desirable.
