Our Seafood Processing & Marine Products Group is a dynamic, collaborative research group that is expanding to meet increasing interest in the utilisation of New Zealand’s unique marine organisms for the development of new high-value products.

Within the Group, this laboratory-based position provides technical support and expertise for both product and process development projects and more fundamental science. Responsibilities include experimental design, generation of high quality experimental data, data interpretation and contributions to peer reviewed publications and commercially funded research projects.

This will require a high level of competence in laboratory practice along with a keenness to learn across a range of disciplines, from general chemistry and biochemistry through to cell biology.

You will have a postgraduate science qualification equivalent to a NZ university Masters or Honours degree in a relevant research area such as biochemistry, chemistry, cell biology or physiology, with relevant laboratory experience.
