Our innovative and fast growing Food division are looking to expand our testing capabilities therefore are looking for an experienced laboratory technician to implement, grow and lead a microscopy and image capture analysis based product. The successful applicant should have the capabilities to continue to grow this exciting new opportunity to further Analytica's competitive advantage.Analytica prides itself on "changing the game" in the markets it offers testing in. Based in Hamilton at the Ruakura Research Centre campus, we service a range of clients across diverse market sectors including honey, dairy, environmental and research. The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary science qualification, several years' experience in a commercial high throughput lab, experience using microscopes preferably in an identification or counting capacity, and an ability to think critically about procedures to increase throughput.
Although we are looking for someone with experience in counting and identification of specimens using microscopy, this is not essential. We are ideally looking for someone that has the right kind of attitude, excellent attention to detail and an intelligent approach to problem solving, that we would invest training in in order to set them up to succeed in expand this exciting new area of testing.

o Able to think on your feet and make well balanced and quick decisions.
o Capable of learning various test methods and working unsupervised.
This role has the potential to quickly evolve into a senior technician role dependent on performance within the first 6 months of appointment and previous experience.
