Microscopy Technician

The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary science qualification, several years' experience in a commercial high throughput lab, experience using microscopes preferably in an identification or counting capacity, and an ability to think critically about procedures to increase throughput.

Although we are looking for someone with experience in counting and identification of specimens using microscopy, this is not essential. We are ideally looking for someone that has the right kind of attitude, excellent attention to detail and an intelligent approach to problem solving, that we would invest training in in order to set them up to succeed in expand this exciting new area of testing.

This role has the potential to quickly evolve into a senior technician role dependent on performance within the first 6 months of appointment and previous experience.
