Our client is the world leader in food, pharmaceutical and environmental contract laboratory services.
In New Zealand, they provide Food, Environmental and Pharma based analytical solutions to customers taking product to market for both the domestic and export sectors.
The Role
A permanent position, working Monday - Friday business hours, is available in the Environmental Services division with our client.
Some experience working in an Environmental Chemistry Laboratory is advantageous. Alternatively, applications from Chemistry graduates with high achieving grades are also encouraged to apply.
The following duties can be expected:
• Receive and sort water and soil samples
• Routine preparation and analysis of samples
• Perform quality control tests
• Laboratory house-keeping duties
• Waste management and OHS adherence
• Instrument calibration and maintenance
• Uphold NATA accreditation requirements
• Other duties as directed
Ideal Skills & Experience
Desirable applicants will possess:
• BSc degree (chemistry) or equivalent
• Experience working in Environmental chemistry lab - desirable
• Industry experience in a NATA accredited laboratory - desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Enthusiastic, self-starter
• Attention to detail
• Full working rights in New Zealand
