Our client is based in the manufacturing industry and has an exciting and career advancing opportunity to offer a reputable candidate that has previous experience as a financial and manufacturing accountant.
This role will be reporting to the Director and General Manager, whilst managing and supporting other business units as and when needed. You will ideally have a good understanding of a manufacturing environment and be well versed in providing accounting and budgeting analysis and advice at local, divisional and group level. You will need to be a technical specialist in management reporting, forecasting and business analysis and adept in the budgeting process.
To be successful in this role you would need to have attained the following;
- A degree in accounting, ACA or equivalent
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a mid/senior level finance and manufacturing accounting role
- Experience in a New Zealand based manufacturing industry is advantageous
- Strong technical knowledge in;
A few of the key accountabilities of this role include; but not limited to
- Group reporting and accounting integrity
- Annual budgets and forecasting
- Taxation
- Foreign Currency
- Depreciation schedules
- Preparation of financial reports, annual accounts, statutory reports and tax returns
- Maintaining fixed asset register
- Manage annual asset inventory
- Produce periodic financial reports to help with decision making - BAS
- Audit Management
- Fleet Management and insurance
- Monthly stocktake - preparation and physical count
- Quarterly FBT return
- Monthly GST
This role is accountable for the delivery of high quality financial information and management accounting support to the Management team. It is pivotal in supplying financial information and analysis to the business, in order to support effective decision making.
This person must have strict attention to numerical detail, have sound references/ work history and the ability to deliver results. With experience in managing sensitive material with a high degree of tact and integrity, you must possess the ability to work with a wide variety of people across many cultural and social backgrounds, upholding a strict sense of confidentiality. A high level of computer literacy is a must, preferably in Microsoft Suite and a range of accounting packages.
