The Story
In the last 3 years, Metro Performance Glass (MPG) have been through quite a journey. We have consolidated sites, built a state of the art plant, automated another plant, moved from private equity to publically listed (on both the NZX and ASX). Not to mention buying an Australian Glass Processor and several acquisitions nationally to increase our channels to market and we are about to invest significantly in new equipment to really up our game in the commercial market and we are not even done yet!
With over 900 employees and 17 sites across New Zealand we are big enough to make an impact but small enough for you to really develop and grow your career.
The Dream
We are a small but effective team, looking for an experience HR Business Partner to share the load and manage operational HR activities across the South Island and the Lower North Island . Your role will involve working closely with key stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes across the full HR remit. Our team does not sit still, so we need someone who can keep up with us!
You will be well organised, detail focused and pride yourself on getting it right the first time. Thinking on your feet, responding in the moment and juggling conflicting priorities without missing a beat will come naturally to you.
The Need
The key to winning will be;
- At least 5 years' of demonstrated experience in generalist HR roles ideally in a blue collar/manufacturing environment;
- Proven ER experience including sound knowledge of legislation, best practice and a proven track record leading investigations;
- Your ability to work autonomously and think outside the square to come up with solutions fast;
- Confidence, able to build relationships with all levels and able to maintain composure even when the going gets tough;
- Focus on achieving results, you set the bar high and you work hard to achieve a level of excellence better than most;
- Resilience and comfortable with change;
- Adaptability and flexibility - national travel and/or extended hours will be required on a regular basis.
