Detail information about job HR Coordinator OR HR Advisor. Terms and conditions vacancy

  • Operational HR
  • Facilities services industry
  • Challenge and grow
Success in human resources in the facilities services industry is achieved through a very specific recipe: a sizable measure of appreciation for the grunty operations mindset, a comfortable portion of familiarity with service culture combined with a heap of respect for the rigours of a low-margin high-volume business model. Pepper liberally with those familiar people traits of empathy, problem-solving, developing, caring, and garnish with exceptional communication skills. Roll all of that up into the thickest skin imaginable and voila, successful facilities services HR is served!

We have been approached to search for two different HR roles on behalf of two clients working in this industry. Although the underlying skills required for both positions are very similar, they will suit different personalities, different experiences, and different career objectives.
Instead of listing these subtleties and nuances through advertisements, if the you are in the market for a new role, have some operational experience under your belt, and reacted to the above recipe with anywhere from a nodding grunt of acknowledgement to a knowing laugh, forward an application to express your interest and let Praxis Change consider your best fit.

Both roles are 2ic HR posts, supporting operations in waged recruitment, sign-on administration, on-boarding processes and first-line employment relations advice. One role specialises in volume waged recruitment and administering employee transfer processes for a multi-national operator, whilst the other holds nation-wide responsibility for a rapidly growing local business. The latter role requires a reasonable understanding of health and safety legislation and best practice, the ability to contribute directly to business strategy, and to operate with a higher level of autonomy.

As an HR professional or an operations person with great HR insight, you know the drill: confident user-level computer literacy in MS Office, exposure to operational human resources, a working knowledge of relevant legislation, pragmatism, flexibility and a drive to grow are all important criteria.

Both of these roles are a challenge, and both of these roles are an opportunity - this is an industry with surprising pace and continual change, and these two businesses are in growth mode.

Do you have the right ingredients to grow with one of them?
