With the ongoing growth of our NZ owned mechanical contracting company we require the services of an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator.
This role will be critical in the future growth strategy for developing ongoing health & safety initiatives that impact on the wellbeing of our team and ensure best practice and compliance.
Reporting into the Directors you will be involved in:
- Developing and implementing the H&S strategy and annual plan
- Maintaining the H&S framework & management system
- Provide SSSP & required documentation
- Inducting Sub Contractors
- Reporting and analysing data
- Monitoring of sites
- Investigations
We are looking for a pragmatic, forward thinker with a can do attitude who can relate to a range of stakeholders.
To succeed in this role you will require the following:
- Tertiary qualification in H&S
- Previous experience in a similar role preferably construction focused
- Sound knowledge of H&S legislation & management
- Experience in coaching /training others
- High level of computer competency
- Good sense of humour
