Our client is an NZ Success Story who are leading the way in third party support in the Canterbury region. Due to rapid growth we're looking for a new key person to join the Field Support Team immediately. 

The technology in play is diverse; Cloud, Desktop, Server and both LAN and WANs. There's PC and some MAC, mostly windows networking suite, security issues, google docs, some linux, some chrome, office 365… And the list goes on!

The great part about your client base is they have a huge appetite for trying new technology – so you'll get your hands on the latest and greatest in the market.

A typical network would be no bigger than 40 devices, and for the more gnarly issues there is a fully supported helpdesk behind you to help you resolve. But you will need to be the one who takes ownership of problems and commits to resolve them for your client. You'll need great troubleshooting skills and have a proven track record of delighting customers with your awesome service.

Ideally you will have 4 – 7 years of desktop support experience but we're looking for a great personality fit first and foremost. Microsoft Certs would be wonderful, and our client will fully support your continuing journey to professional development paying for your exams as you pass them

What we need is someone who is driven to make a difference to their users, someone who gets great satisfaction from helping a non-technical user unlock technology, and someone who loves being part of a team, not just as the engineer but as a mentor who enables and educates their users

Your days will unlikely be the same and as a field based role you will need to provide your own vehicle and be reimbursed for mileage.  Salary is attractive, the team is neat and the company is on the trajectory to great things. The office base is in modern premises out by the airport (important to know for Thursday night beers!) and the national team catches up on a weekly basis to share and chat.
