Fixed Term – One year
Fulltime - 1.0 FTE (40hrs)
Otago Polytechnic is looking for a full time Business Intelligence Developer to join our Business Improvement team for twelve months, to support organisational performance through the application of business intelligence and data science. This is an exciting time for the team, with a huge focus on a new initiative in machine learning and predictive analytics.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years BI Development experience
- Expert with the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack
- Expert with Sharepoint
- Expert with Azure, Machine Learning and R script
- Expert with RDBMS - SQL Server
- Expert with visualisation tools, e.g. PowerBI and DAX
- An expert with ETL Tools - Wherescape and SQL
- Well developed analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Adept at keeping pace with the leading edge of business intelligence related research, issues and technology
Our preferred candidate will be a highly organised, customer-focused person who is looking for a challenging role where they can facilitate organisational excellence.
This person will have highly developed technical skills, excellent intelligence development and report creation skills. They will be a positive team player that works well under pressure, and is able to work with various internal customers to deliver quality outputs to tight deadlines.
