Detail information about job Junior Software Programmer (Robotics / Automation Engineer). Terms and conditions vacancy

We are a large Plastics Manufacturing Company that has experienced exponential growth over the last few years.
We are now seeing a need for an in-house Software Programmer to assist with the build, programming and commissioning of the automation equipment used on site.

We have our own design and build facilities for new automation solutions, so you will be involved in the programming, installation and commissioning of new machinery.

These machines include:
* Robot Workcells
* Automated assembly machines
* Mobile Robots
* Conveyor Systems
* Labelling Machines
* Label Printers
* + a number of customised pieces of automation machinery

Training for this role will be provided, but you are expected to have a solid foundation in PC Programming – ideally with C#, but any object oriented programming language would be useful.

We are adding 10-15 robots a year in the factory, so there is plenty of scope to learn technical skills, and be involved at the front of your field.

Who are we looking for?
You may have done an Engineering Degree – or PC programming – but you need to have solid skills in software programming and an interest in factory automation and efficiency.
Some projects will be on the factory floor – others will be based around PC programming, with database lookups and creation of user interfaces.

The factory operates 24 hours a day – 7 days a week, and you will be doing project work. The hours for this role will follow a standard working week (7.00-5.00 – Mon/Fri), but - as with any project engineering work – there is going to be times where overtime is required.

You will need to be someone that can get things done unsupervised, and can move your work along on your own accord.
You will need to take pride in your work as you will be directly involved in the processes that determines the quality and appearance of the products that go out the door to the customer.

Most importantly - you will need to have a great attitude and fit into the team.

We are a large company that is getting larger very fast! This makes it a very exciting place to work.

Have a look at the videos on our website: www.sistemaplastics.com
You will find videos of a few of the automation solutions already implemented, and a short history of the company.

Apply today if you think that this role would suit you.

Applicants for this role must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
