Your new company
A major public sector organisation in Wellington is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to develop and maintain high-quality self-servicing Business Intelligence solutions that support enterprise level data driven decision making process. The role is based in the Wellington CBD.
Your new role
As a Senior Business Intelligence Developer, you will be responsible for:
- Modifying and troubleshooting complex programs and systems.
- Designing, testing, implementing and maintaining reports, while using data acquisition and self-service reporting contained in the environment to support analytical reporting.
- Understanding business requirements while translating them into robust technical specifications
- Maintaining up to date business intelligence skills in line with industry leading practice
- Contributing to building capability by mentoring, training, coordinating and providing expert advice to other team members
What you'll need to succeed
- Substantial experience working with BI tools, with extensive experience with either Tableau or/and SSRS.
- Demonstrated skills in data projects working with ETL, and related data modelling tools.
- Skilled in implementing BI reporting systems with emphasis on self-service design.
- Skilled in the efficient use of algorithms/systems programming in order to formulate a set of rules to solve problems and use the rules to provide a business solution according to requirements received from the business.
