Working as part of the Toi Ohomai Marketing & Communications Team, you will play a key role in developing credible, engaging content across multiple platforms and providing excellent communications advice.

You’ll be a proven relationship nurturer and expert reputation manager. Fast-paced environments will excite you and know how to produce quality work under pressure. This is a busy team – exceptional organisational skills are a must as you will be juggle multiple deadlines.

Your responsibilities will include creating, editing and publishing content for our internal and external communications, our website and social media channels. You’ll have excellent writing skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to take ownership of a myriad of projects and see them through to completion.

The position involves working across our main campuses in Rotorua and Tauranga. The successful candidate can select which campus they wish to base themselves from. You’ll enjoy a close knit team atmosphere, plenty of opportunities to try new things and help drive a plethora of new and engaging initiatives, both internally and externally.

The skills, experience and qualifications required for this role include:

  • Five years’ plus experience working in a communications or public relations capacity.
  • Degree in communications, public relations or similar field.
  • Proven ability to translate information into clear compelling messages and develop content to create targeted effective communication.
  • Basic photography, videography or video editing skills.
  • An understanding of Te Reo and Tikanga Maori would be desirable.
