Where? 

This global tech company started locally here in New Zealand less in 2011. They’re fresh out of start-up mode and have been making waves as of late; seeing over 100% total revenue growth in FY18.
  
They’re in the business of app development, and work with a huge number of charities and non-profits around the world to help raise money and awareness for good causes.
  
Headquartered in the US, their Kiwi office is over 100-strong and they’re looking to add to some top talent to their team, specifically in the Product/UX space!


What?

Ultimately, you will be working to gain a deep understanding of users; from planning and conducting a range of research activities, to defining problems, to exploring potential solutions:
  

• Research activities include recruiting & managing participants from current user base
• Define problems after working with Product Managers & Engineers to uncover user needs & requirements
• Competitive analysis, user behaviour analysis, and heuristic evaluation of existing experiences
• Build user personas; scenarios; stories; journeys, as well as experience maps, IA models, wireframes, and mock-ups.

  
Communication will be key in this role; you will be speaking to internal stakeholders and individual users both in NZ and the US. They’re open to new tools/methodologies, work quickly, and phase 2 does happen!

This is not a place for ego; you’ll be a passionate researcher who understands the true meaning of ‘team’, is respectful, and will not validate any idea without having conducted thorough/necessary research!
  
In a perfect world, you’ll have:
  

• 5+ years practicing as a researcher, including significant/large projects that can be demonstrated
• Product experience is ideal
• Outstanding communication skills & confidence talking to a range of stakeholders
• A high level of confidence when it comes to practice and methodology; you’ll ideally have experience mentoring more junior designers
• Experience with UX Design (wireframing/prototyping)
