Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari is a world class conservation and ecotourism destination that show cases a pristine New Zealand environment – an ancient, vibrant pest-free forest alive with native wildlife including many of New Zealand’s rarest and most endangered, insects, birds and fish.
The Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator is responsible for leading, overseeing and developing all areas of the Sales and Marketing function.
To be the right fit for this position you must be a person who is willing to get the job done, have the ability to work with a small, passionate, professional team and believe in delivering customer experiences at the highest level.
Based at Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari and reporting to the CEO, your key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to position Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari as a preferred National and International tourism destination by enhancing and promoting its ecotourism and education offerings.
- Contributing significantly to the commercial growth of the organisation through creative marketing strategies that include customer relationship management, direct marketing and event fundraising activities.
- Developing relationships with partners locally, nationally and internationally to develop and grow innovative new business opportunities to drive revenue.
You will also:
- Support the business in monitoring, evaluating and analysing sales and marketing revenue, future strategy and opportunities
- Build sales and marketing business cases to develop and execute new business opportunities
- Work closely with the CEO and the Management Team and participate in the strategic development of the organisation
Skills and Experience
Ideally, although not essential, you will have had not-for-profit experience. You will be an experienced sales and marketing practitioner with strong people management skills. You’ll understand brand and how to get messages out in a compelling way to drive results.
A relevant tertiary qualification and a ‘hands on’ approach would be advantageous.
