Our client is the largest independent accounting practice in the Western Bay of Plenty. The firm has been around for over 50 years with seven Directors and a highly energised team.  They take a proactive approach to Accounting to stay ahead of the game. About the role
The main focus of this position is to deliver solutions to your clients to help their business grow. You will be supported by two Directors to help you thrive. The role is diverse and bursting with challenges, all you need is enthusiasm to take them on. There is a strong emphasis of adding value through business consultation and gaining an excellent understanding of your client needs. This is not your usual BAS Accountant position.

Duties

  • Preparation of accurate monthly and annual financial statements, taxation returns and GST returns
  • Advice on business management issues
  • Execution of specific client assignment as allocated under the supervision of the responsible partner

Skills & experience

  • Experience within a Chartered Accountants office
  • Experience in completing GST returns, Annual Financial Statements and tax returns
  • Strong computer skills with a well-rounded knowledge of Xero
  • Exceptional analytical and interpretative skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Ambition to develop your career in a growing, dynamic practice
