About the opportunity
WesTrac is seeking an energetic and team orientated Field Service Automotive Electrician to join our busy Mudgee team.
As the successful applicant you will be required to perform all electrical work, installations, repairs and inspections on a range of Caterpillar equipment in the Mudgee region. You will apply your high level of technical skill and expertise to carry out these duties in a customer focused manner. You will have a strong drive, motivation and direction to succeed in a safety conscious environment.
Key duties include
- Undertake hardware, electrical and mechanical installation of Caterpillar Technology system products (Detect, Terrain, Command, Health and Fleet)
- Assist with Calibration of the Technology systems to ensure the system is functioning in accordance with the manufacturers / customer requirements.
- Conduct onsite preventative maintenance on identified Technology systems in line with Cat, WesTrac and customer processes and procedures.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs on Caterpillar Hydraulic Mining Shovels within the region including a 6050 and 6060
What we’re looking for
- Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent
- Current ARC Air Conditioning Licence highly desirable
- Familiar with Caterpillar Equipment is highly desirable
- High Voltage ticked and electric drive truck experience is highly desirable
- Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
- Experience with maintenance and repairs of air conditioning systems
- Experience with MDG15 requirements
Training will be provided on the latest Caterpillar technologies.
