Located at RAAF Base Pearce, the AIR 5428 Pilot Training System will deliver performance-based options to train the next generation of Australian pilots over the next 25 years. Lockheed Martin leads the delivery of an integrated solution tailored for all future pilots for the Royal Australian Air Force, Royal Australian Navy and the Australian Army.

The AIR 5428 Pilot Training Program is ramping up and we are now looking for Technicians to join the team. These roles have the responsibility of providing quality and efficient technical maintenance and support activities to a variety of technical equipment and facilities, including flight simulators.

To be considered for one of these roles you will need to have a solutions focus and have the aptitude for troubleshooting, calibrating, testing, analysing, diagnosing, installing, repairing and maintaining technical equipment. These activities are primarily to ensure the effective operability of the Lockheed Martin PC-21 GBTS and its facilities.

To be successful in this role, you will need to bring with you:

• Qualifications, or working toward qualifications at Cert III or above, in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent relevant work experience
• Some knowledge, ability and experience in the routine maintenance and repair of technical systems and equipment, integrated systems, and sub-systems
• Ability to manufacture a wide range of interface cabling utilising various termination methods eg. soldering, crimping and wire wrapping
• Ability to resolve technical issues using standard procedures
• Strong problem solving, planning, and organisational skills
• A customer focus with the ability to pre-empt problems and create opportunities for improvements
