THE ORGANISATION

We have laboratories in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Townsville, Wagga Wagga and Rockhampton, with the head office and main reference laboratory being located in Brisbane.
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the National QA Manager, your role is to deliver accurate high quality asbestos analysis to our clients. You will assist the QA team to develop, implement and maintain an asbestos testing facility. This role will suit a self-starter looking for a challenge. The key to success in this position is the ability drive and deliver projects to completion whilst adhering to strict regulatory and legislative guidelines.
Specifically, your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Receive, inspect and log samples into LIMS.
- Complete testing on samples according to client specifications.
- Provide comprehensive reporting of results within agreed timeframes.
- Maintain the testing facility to regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Assist in other QA tasks as directed by the National QA Manager
ABOUT YOU:
- Experience in the design and implementation of an asbestos testing environment, related equipment and safety systems.
- Have experience in LIMS including the authorisation and reporting of results.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Possess excellent computer and communication skills.
Preferred qualifications and skills include:
- Min 5 years’ experience in Asbestos testing of airborne, bonded and friable samples
- Previous experience as a NATA Authorised Signatory for asbestos analysis
- Experience in a fast paced, NATA accredited facility
- Diploma/B.Sc in Chemistry or Geology is strongly preferred
