About us
Statistical Reporting and Coordination (SRC) is one of four teams in the Statistical Services Branch and provides a high quality statistical information service to internal and external clients.  SRC disseminates standard statistical output and is a central reference point for health and health related statistical information.

The role:  
Reporting to the Manager Statistical Reporting and Coordination, the Senior Statistical Output Officer is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality statistical information service for clients of the Statistical Services Branch.  The role will provide consultancy services and expert advice to clients of the branch based on extraction, analysis and interpretation of health and health-related data, and assist clients regarding branch services (i.e. online data stores, output environment).  This role will also negotiate and liaise with suppliers, users, government authorities and professional bodies regarding statistical requirements, data collections and the availability of data to and from Queensland Health, and provide project management services for statistical and reporting projects.  

The successful person:
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience with managing complex data within a contemporary statistical information services and technology environment within a large organisation.  You will demonstrate the ability to interrogate complex datasets and relational databases to provide information solutions (including analysis and reporting), and ideally have a good understand of health-related data is preferred.  Strong written and verbal communication skills is required along with the ability to present complex information clearly.  Additionally, you will demonstrate initiative and autonomy, along with the ability to work well as part of a team.  You will also be able to cultivate productive and professional working relationships and partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders.
