About the role:

This research will be used to progress potential therapeutics from discovery to development. You will be hands on and routinely based in the laboratory conducting R&D in developing new technologies in antibody engineering platforms through:

• MiSeq sample preparation and operation
• RNA seq and RT-PCR
• Optimisation of PCR reaction conditions, vector design, sequence analysis, DNA and RNA isolation.
• Bioinformatics and genomics including data analysis for NGS data sets

Selection Criteria:

• PhD or BSc (Hons) in molecular biology or related experience
• Hands on experience working with NGS library preparation and/or sequencing development
• Experience in MiSeq sample preparation and MiSeq operation is highly desirable
• Knowledge of RNA seq and RT-PCR is strongly desired
• Hands-on experience in recombinant DNA technologies including optimisation of PCR reaction conditions, vector design, sequence analysis, DNA and RNA isolation.
• Experience with bioinformatics and genomics including data analysis for NGS data sets
• Knowledge of antibodies structure and function desirable
• Excellent communication, report writing and people skills
• Experience of training and mentoring of junior members of the team
