The Company
An opportunity exists for an experienced customer focused Molecular Biologist to join a global leader who are operating within the manufacturing market. The company is expanding throughout Australia and New Zealand and at this stage are making room for fantastic career opportunities.
The Role
The role will include the management of the Molecular Biology testing unit of a busy manufacturing facility, the role carries many client focused responsibilities including;
- Internal / external project management
- Writing protocols / developing methods and standards
- Setting up a QPCR Laboratory function
- Managing client queries and technical troubleshooting
- Liaising with external stakeholders
- Delegating to Laboratory operators
- Becoming the company ‘champion’ for molecular biology practices…
You will be required to work a full time week and will become flexible with company / client demands, the role requires a dedicated Manager who will lead by example.
The Person
- Ideally the person stepping into the role with have previous experience working within a GMP / Manufacturing facility. This is not essential if indeed the candidates has had some industry experience of performing Molecular Biology based techniques whilst handling client projects.
- Degree qualified in a related discipline,
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lead and mentor a team
- Technical Troubleshooting Skills
- Proficient in PCR
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working with internal / external clients and stakeholders on Molecular based projects.
- Proven Molecular Biologist with a commercial outlook
- Driving License.
- Degree qualified in a related discipline,
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lead and mentor a team
- Technical Troubleshooting Skills
- Proficient in PCR
