An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced QC Officer to join the team at Brauer Natural Medicine. Brauer Natural Medicine is a progressive, well established manufacturer and marketer of natural medicines that is entering an exciting phase of growth into new natural categories following the rise of the consumer trend towards health and wellness.
As the QC Officer, you will report into the QC Laboratory Supervisor and specialise in the testing of raw materials in accordance to relevant monographs and current GMP guidelines.
As part of the QC team key responsibilities will include:
- Sampling raw materials within a cleanroom environment using appropriate sampling techniques;
- Testing of a large range of raw materials in accordance to the internal specifications and assembling the data packages to enable release;
- Testing water samples, finished products and stability samples according to specifications;
- Work with external testing laboratories and internal departments to meet raw material release timelines that support the requirements of manufacturing operations;
- General Laboratory tasks in accordance to GLP including the procuring of necessary consumables and reagents;
- Investigating out-of-specification results relating to raw materials and ensuring appropriate CAPA’s are implemented;
- Updating and maintaining raw material and finished product specifications as directed;
- Updating and maintaining relevant standard operating procedures (SOP) and Standard Test Methods (STM);
- Contribute to team building, training and problem-solving initiatives both within the Quality Team and inter-departmental;
- Additional duties as requested by the Laboratory Supervisor or Quality Manager.
To be considered for this position you must:
- Have a BSc in Chemistry or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years experience of testing raw materials within a GMP environment,
- Experience in writing and reviewing technical documents,
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills,
- Have a proactive approach, work autonomously and as part of a team and have the ability to work to strict deadlines while maintaining a very high standard of attention to detail.
