A permanent full-time opportunity exists for a motivated, highly efficient and positive individual to join our team at WSP, working primarily within our NATA accredited Brisbane asbestos laboratory.
  
About the role

• All aspects of laboratory functions, from sample receival through to final result reporting and client billing, within a NATA quality assured framework.
• Analysis of asbestos samples including bulk identification and fibre counts
• Management and input of data within the laboratory information management database
• Managing flow of samples and results through our laboratory and third party supporting laboratories (non-asbestos samples), from receipt to delivery, following quality assurance processes
• Problem solving and responding to client enquiries
• Laboratory maintenance and purchases including equipment, supply stocktake, ordering and payment
• General administrative support within the laboratory, which may include: invoicing, debtor pursuit, and other duties as required.

 About you

• NATA certified analyst with experience working in an asbestos laboratory, with proficiency in asbestos sample analysis, both identification and fibre counts (essential)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively work in a small team environment
• Proficient skills in computing with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), as well as experience with high volume data entry
• Experience using database systems preferred
• Sound time management and organisational skills, confident prioritising workload and managing competing deadlines
• A team player with a positive attitude and flexibility towards undertaking a changing variety of tasks.
