The Role
The role will manage the Facilities and Corporate Real Estate function for the business in Australia; with a focus on delivering the relocation of their two Sydney offices into one 10,000sqm space in the new premium grade 60 Martin Place development by late 2019. This coupled with managing Melbourne’s move to the top floors of the new ‘cutting edge’ commercial building, 477 Collins Street.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and recommend options for best utilisation of space which can include subletting opportunities, refurbishment works etc
• Management of sub tenants in Sydney and Brisbane including monthly invoicing
• Deliver innovation, efficiencies and cost savings across the Facilities Management function, identifying ways to improve service quality
• Establish and maintain commercial relationships between NRFA and landlords/building management (Sydney x 2, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Jakarta, Port Moresby)
• Project manage all refurbishment works in NRFA offices including Jakarta and Port Moresby. Engagement of external parties including project manager, interior design, services and associated consultants and construction management

Your Profile

• Tertiary qualifications related to the building trade, property and/or facilities management and/or an extensive management experience in these fields
• Ability to set the strategic vision for facilities management
• Experience in a similar position with a legal or professional services environment
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with an established professional network
• Experience procuring and managing contracts of significant scale, and of operating a streamlined and efficient contract management provision
• Experience in the office relocation and change management involved of circa 700 staff
