Our client is a national leader when it comes to land & housing development & residential communities.

They are a strong developer that is supporting the NSW Government's housing affordability agenda and delivering the local infrastructure that helps new communities grow and thrive.

This newly created role has been set up to report into the General Manager that has been tasked with hiring and creating a dynamic and exciting development team to focus on a range of development opportunities throughout NSW. 

The role will include: assessment, creation and management of demonstration projects to improve housing affordability in NSW.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review portfolio’s; opportunities; do deals and build pipeline of projects to deliver
• Build and maintain effective relationships with identified key partners within local and state government, industry and not for profit organisations to achieve stakeholder engagement and alignment to the strategic directions.
• Lead the identification of new business opportunities including proactively networking across public, private and not-for-profit organisations, managing stakeholder relationships and maintaining an awareness of stakeholder priorities and planning needs to support long term property development planning and new property development opportunities.
• Lead the evaluation of opportunities
• Manage and review financial modelling to ensure alignment with the agreement structure and proposed development plan and best practice techniques.
• Manage all due diligence tasks in accordance with approved framework related to opportunities including external advice when needed.
• Collaborate with the Project teams to create a proposed development plan for pipeline projects.
• Collaborate with Sustainability, Housing, Legal, Finance and Commercial, and the Procurement teams to ensure that new agreements meet the business requirements
• Manage the preparation of presentations and reports required for the acquisition process for approval

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS

• Tertiary qualifications in a property related field such as Property and Development, Property Economics, Land Economics or related.
• Significant knowledge of the residential property development industry and related processes, specifically with planning and delivery.
• Strong experience working within a development or Acquisitions role
• Demonstrated experience and ability to develop productive relationships with government agencies, industry providers, key users and key stakeholders.
• Knowledge and expertise in modelling methodologies, processes and systems (Altus Developer or EstateMaster).
• Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and critical thinking ability including the ability to identify a range of alternative solutions and present suitable recommendations.
• Strong organisational and time management skills and the capacity to manage heavy workloads within tight timeframes.

There are multiple roles available within the company for talented developers that can add value. Contract and permanent roles available from $800 - $1,200 a day depending on expereince.
