About the business and the role

Opportunity for a part time role Conveyancer with at least 5 years plus experience to join a sole practitioner in the Northern Suburbs (Doreen area).

The firm is small and friendly, established for 7 years and consisting of a full time Principal Lawyer and a part time Senior Paralegal and Probate Law Clerk.  We also specialise in the areas of Family Law and Estates & Wills.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Your Role:

• Liaise with client, banks and other solicitors.
• Independently manage conveyancing files from start to finish.
• Conducting online searches (Infotrack).
• Prepare documents, contracts, section 32, nominations, duties forms and drafting letters.
• Calculating settlement figures and booking settlement.
• Attend to the strict deadlines of each conveyancing file.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Detailed file management.
• Proficiency in Leap (iCloud) and PEXA (electronic conveyancing).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.

Skills and experience

• Ability to start in July 2018
• 4 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) with you being flexible to change days if required.
• At least 5+ years experience in dealing with residential conveyancing including subdivisions and SMSF purchases.
• Good energy, positivity, professionalism and a willingness to take instruction.
• Loyalty in return for a long term position.
