With exciting long term projects to grow and transform our business, we are looking for a hands on, passionate Legal Counsel who can bring their diverse expertise to our dynamic environment. Your breadth and depth of responsibilities will be varied and you will not be afraid to be immersed in a range of projects. Whilst there is a strong focus on property and commercial legal matters, you will also handle a broad portfolio and provide general support to the wider business including a review of broad legal and operational documents and activities.

With your flexible approach and can do attitude, you will facilitate collaborative relationships with all stakeholders and provide leadership, guidance and direction to ensure we maintain our high standards of excellence.

To be considered you must have:

Extensive experience providing commercial advice on a range of matters including general corporate, property conveyancing, construction law, consumer and competition law, employee relations, intellectual property and general advice.
Is confident, commercially pragmatic and solutions focused.
Minimum of 8-10 years professional legal experience and formal university qualifications
Prior experience in a reputable law firm across different areas of specialisation or has held a similar in-house, standalone legal role
Extensive experience in managing a broad and diverse range of complex, long term deliverables
Is results driven, high levels of resilience, can learn complex processes quickly and is diplomatic when interacting with high value stakeholders
Can effectively communicate and collaborate between teams and people at all levels
Is flexible, agile and can uphold highest standards of professionalism and discretion

This role would ideally suit an experienced internal Legal Counsel who wants to work for a dynamic, medium business or someone who has worked across different portfolios and wants a work life balance or flexible work options.

Whilst it is envisaged that initially this role will be offered as a 12 month contract there is the potential for long term opportunities. As a key member of our Head Office Team you will be passionate to deliver high standard of excellence with a high level of interaction across our suppliers, senior management, industry bodies and our Branches.
