- Develop strategic initiatives and lead the Hospitality group though any changes
We are looking for an experienced Senior Case Manager or a Team Leader with an allied health background (preferably but not limited to Physio, OT, EP or Chiro) who is looking to take the next step in their career. Reporting to Hospitality’s Strategy & Technical Manager, the purpose of this role is to provide Injury Management, RTW & Technical support the claims team to achieve outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Coach & guide Case Managers on appropriate injury management, treatment, rehabilitation and return to work strategies to achieve optimal outcomes in our claims portfolio
- Lead reviews of claims to ensure that proactive claim and injury management strategies are in place
- Ensure actual Rehabilitation and Medical Payment costs are in line with expected & manage initiatives to ensure appropriate use of these services
- Work with the Hospitality Management Team to identify and address injury management & technical development needs including the development & running of training sessions
- Develop strategic initiatives and lead the Hospitality group though any changes to ensure they achieve service, performance and compliance measures in relation to key performance indicators
- Work with the Statistical & Actuarial Services team to extract and review data to identify issues, trends and opportunities, as well as report on performance.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will require demonstrated skills and experience in the following;
- Knowledge & experience of sound case management practices to achieve early safe and sustained return to work including; Medical, RTW & disability management
- Excellent understanding of Workplace Injury Management, Workers Compensation legislation & compliance requirements, including Work Capacity Decisions
- Knowledge of cost of claims impact
- Experience and/or education in the field of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, chiropractic, etc.
