Our client, a global insurer, are seeking an experienced Major Loss Adjuster to join their established Property and Strata Claims team based in their Sydney CBD office. As such, we are looking for the right person who can demonstrate our core values by being proactive, responsible, inquisitive, dedicated and enthusiastic.
Major duties/responsibilities :
- Visiting customers to gather information necessary as part of the claim process
- Make informed evaluations of damage and quantum.
- Build strong relationships with Brokers to promote confidence and trust in the company claims service
- Investigate claims in such a manner as to identify fraud awareness
- Clearly identify potential fraud and subrogation issues
- Engage with strategic stakeholders to ensure a smooth claim process
- Able to be mobile and travel interstate for short periods of time as the need arises and in times of Catastrophe
- Ability to assist with all property claim handling both commercial & domestic as the need arises
Knowledge and skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications (ANZIIF and or AICLA)
- 10+ years experience in Loss Adjusting
- Excellent Customer Service Ethic
- Ability to influence & negotiate
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word/ Excel and ability to construct claim reports as required
- Sound structural building knowledge
- Ability to manage self & time effectively
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Maintain a log of all cases handled as per agreed guidelines
