The Company
This high performing Life Insurer with an excellent reputation throughout the Industry is currently seeking an experienced a Technical Claims Specialist with strong leadership experience to manage the National Technical claims team.
The Opportunity
The primary responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:
- Leading the Technical team to ensure that decisions made on claims from both the Group and Retail teams are in line with the current legislation and claims philosophy.
- Quality Assurance
- Continuous improvement around systems and processes
- Facilitating the on-boarding of new claims staff including ongoing training and development
- Risk analysis
- Trends analysis
- Facilitating daily meetings with Assessors and assisting in the management of adverse decisions.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have the following:
- Excellent Life claims experience and knowledge of the Insurance Contracts Act
- Strong Leadership experience
- Strong analytic skills and business acumen
- Strong influencing skills
