The Commercial Hotel Dubbo or The Mersh as it is affectionately known was established in 1859 and sits as the oldest Dubbo pub. With such a long history and diverse offering, it is no surprise that this Dubbo pub is a favourite amongst locals.
Your key focus will be to manage the venue whilst on shift leading the staff to deliver an amazing customer experience whilst ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements.
The Role
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Managing the overall operations of the business whilst of shift
- Regular coaching, training and mentoring of staff
- Cost control with a focus on labour
- Ensuring the team is delivering excellent customer service
- Adherence & reporting to compliance and legislative matters
- Entertainment, Lighting and Atmosphere
- Continuous improvement in operations and service
About You:
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate;
- Strong leadership skills
- An ability to think outside the square
- Proven experience working in a multi-faceted business
- An understanding and appreciation of gaming
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Hands on approach with a natural ability to lead a team to be the best they can
Reporting to the General Manager, the successful applicant for this key position must have demonstrated experience in a similar role, possess strong leadership qualities and have proven ability to manage in a busy, fast paced environment.
