The Canberra Southern Cross Club is currently seeking suitably qualified and motivated applicants to apply for the full time position of Gaming Host for the Woden venue.
Role purpose
To ensure excellent customer service, gaming regulation compliance and a safe and hygienic working environment.
Main responsibilities
- Ensure service areas of Club are fully prepared and maintained for service needs of members.
- Monitor gaming section of the Club during the shift to ensure service excellence is provided.
- Deal with member or guest complaints.
- Maintain control over cash management (including main float and tills) and ensure staff adhere to security procedures when handling cash.
- Carry out and ensure poker machine procedures are conducted in line with ACT Gaming regulations
- Fulfill the requirements of the ACT Public Health Regulations and the OH&S Act.
- Create and monitor a positive work relationship by means of effective communication and delegation.
Requirements
- At least three years’ experience in hospitality
- A demonstrated passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Excellent people and interpersonal skills
- High level of organisational and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and conflict, and work efficiently under pressure
- RSA and RCG valid in ACT
- Tertiary qualifications are desirable, preferably in a hospitality related industry.
- Ability to work in 7 day rotating shifts
